Casualty Response Team
Our response team is on standby round the clock (24/7) to respond anywhere in the world, no matter how remote the location. We are one of the few surveying companies in Singapore who has the equipment to carry out various type of petroleum, petro-chemical and chemical cargoes sampling due to the equipment and software we have.
Equipment and Software available:
Equipment
a) Various types of sampling device such as All level, Zone, Rock bottom sampler. The sampling device designated for each group of cargo and are not duplicated.
b) Various type of sampling containers such as Clear glass bottles, Opaque glass bottles, metal cans and plastic bottles.
c) Own seals and labels.
d) Calibrated Sounding tapes, thermometers, thickness gauge, electronic micro scope, laser measuring tape and hydrometers.
e) Wall wash sampling and chemical.
f) LPG and LNG sampling devices.
g) Intrinsically safe cameras, flash lights and personnel Oxygen detected.
Software
h) Blending and ASTM table software for petroleum cargo.
i) Electronic Chart for position plotting.
j) Draft survey software.
k) Lashing calculation software.
l) Subscribe to AIS marine traffic.
Whilst the response team is attending an incident they receive logistical support from our office stafin coordinating operations.
Reporting Standard
Our procedure of reporting is as follows:
a) Immediate response to appointment since we have a centralized Job acceptance point which carry out immediate conflict search (if any).
b) Update on attendance once the necessary appointment and permit approved typically within an hour or two after appointment.
c) Quick update by way of situation report (Sitrep) once surveyors ashore.
d) Continuous update as matter progresses.
e) For complicated matter or multiple attendance investigation report are at each stage.
f) Final report issued upon review of all documents and matters finalized. This very much depend on case basis.
Safety & Environment Protection
All our surveyors are equipped with Personnel Protection equipment (PPE) which include fire retarded overall when required, personal life jacket, chemical glover and gas mask. For safety reason and since most of the work is in hazardous areas, we implement a buddy system where two surveyors typically will attend with no additional charges to clients. This greatly improve safety and expedite the investigation process and prevent delays to vessel.
For environment protection all samples are stored and disposed in accordance with NEA requirement. We also advise and update the vessel if there is no proper garbage disposal procedure and Marpol requirement with regards to garbage management. Paperless operations and documents are stored on common server which could be assess by all.
